Face to face appointments can be for any age, but people of under 18 years will need to be chaperoned by their legal guardian, although they can be seen alone once this is agreed by their legal guardian.
Non-urgent treatment only is provided. If you consider your condition to be an urgent case or an emergency then it is advised you see your NHS GP, attend an urgent care centre, or go to A&E.
It is the policy for Dermis Skin Aesthetics that no prescriptions for controlled drugs or end of life (palliative) medication will be issued.
It is the policy of Dermis Skin Aesthetics to inform your NHS GP of any changes to medication or conditions diagnosed within your private GP appointments. This is to ensure continuity of care and promote the safest practice possible.
Whilst confidentiality will be maintained, if there are any concerns that your Dermis Skin Aesthetics practitioner feels need to be shared with your GP or higher authority, they will explain their thoughts and reasonings before proceeding.
Some appointments may require physical examination, including some intimate examinations. If this is something you feel worried about or require a chaperone, please inform your Dermis Skin Aesthetics practitioner before hand.
